The Florida Center Named Charity Partner for The Color Vibe 5K-April 1st, 2017
Color Vibe 5K Comes to Lakewood Ranch on April 1 to Benefit Local Charity
March 2, 2017 (Sarasota, FL) The Color Vibe 5K, a non-competitive “fun run”, is bringing its color-throwing stations to the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch on April 1 to benefit The Florida Center for Early Childhood.
More than 1 million people have participated in the Color Vibe, making it the nation’s second-largest color run. The Lakewood Ranch event, slated for April 1 at 9 a.m., is expected to draw close to 2,000 people who will be splashed head-to-toe in bright, safe and biodegradable chalk.
“The Color Vibe is a great event for families, and so much fun! We are excited to be this year’s charity partner and hope everyone will come out for a great cause,” said Kathryn Shea, CEO of The Florida Center, a local nonprofit serving at-risk children and their families in Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and DeSoto/Hardee counties.
Participants are encouraged to run or walk the course, which ends with a “Color Vibe Party” with a DJ. Children 12 and under can register for free. Special pricing can be found for adults at www.thecolorvibe.com. The Lakewood Ranch Premier Sports Campus is located at 14400 Covenant Way.
