Jeff Woodin Named to Florida Center Board
THE FLORIDA CENTER FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD ANNOUNCES JEFFREY WOODIN AS NEW BOARD MEMBER
March 1, 2017 (Sarasota, FL) The Florida Center for Early Childhood, a local nonprofit serving children and their families in Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and DeSoto/Hardee counties, announced that Jeffrey Woodin, of Lakewood Ranch, has joined The Florida Center board for a three-year term.
“We are excited to welcome Jeff to The Florida Center and are incredibly thankful for the enthusiasm and expertise he will bring. He will certainly be an asset to our agency and the community,” said The Florida Center’s president and CEO, Kathryn Shea.
Woodin is currently the senior vice president and state executive of commercial banking for Fidelity Bank and has extensive experience with nonprofit boards. His previous experiences include the Pace Center for Girls, Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, serving as board president, and Hope Family Services. Prior to his career in the financial industry, Woodin was a special education teacher.
“My passion for helping children has been in my blood as early as when I was a young boy. I have seen how difficult it can be for any child, whether rich or poor, disabled or just different, to be accepted in this world. Throughout my professional career, I have always worked and helped agencies that focus on children, and am excited to be joining the mission of The Florida Center,” said Woodin.
